The NEB Local Chapters are an extension of the European Commission's New European Bauhaus (NEB) initiative at a regional level.

The NEB's goal is to create positive transformations in inhabited spaces, beginning with neighborhoods, through the integration and interaction of the values "beautiful, sustainable, together." The NEB, born as a cultural movement, has garnered widespread support from various stakeholders at the European level, including research institutions, local authorities, social, cultural, and creative enterprises, the construction industry, citizens, and more. With the support of the European Commission's Joint Research Centre, the programme has gained tools, methods, and resources to facilitate tangible improvements for local areas and their communities as it continues to mature. The NEB Chapters serve as local catalysts and platforms, connecting universities, research institutions, cultural organizations, and citizens in order to transform the built environment and living spaces through an interdisciplinary approach that combines science, technology, art, and culture.

This event will focus on the mechanisms, insights, and dynamics that led to the launch of the NEB initiative in different regions of Europe.

There will be a particular emphasis on the current and potential adoption of the Chapters instrument at local level as well as the potential for exchange and interaction between Italian and European regions. The goal is to support each other in promoting territorial transformations based on NEB values.

This initiative, promoted by the Liguria Region in collaboration with the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia Brussels Office, is part of the biennial NEB Festival held in Brussels and throughout Europe.

The event will be held at the Representation office of Friuli Venezia Giulia, a neoclassical "maison de maître" with its "orangerie", located in the heart of the European quarter on Rue du Commerce 49
